Hello,  back again and  today we will look at Pahang.  Pahang joined the Federated Malay States in 1896 and in the first few years the stamps of the Straits Settlements were used,  as we have seen for the other Malay States I have  shown.

The first stamps inscribed Pahang were issued in 1891 and yes you will notice they are the same as the Negri Sembilan ones I showed in the previous piece, and  also for the second issue in 1895.

When collecting this State we do see repetition in the designs of the other States so I will  not show too many of the designs I have shown before.  This one is from the 1935 issue and show the Sultan Sir Abu Bakar and then the 1950 issue shows  him again in a different frame.

The issues of the 1950 and the 1960s  also shows the designs we have seen before  from Kedah and Johore for example, so just one more stamp from the 1965 issue.  Same as Johor but with the  portrait  of the Sultan Sir Abu Bakar again.

Enjoy your stamps and all they bring us.         Michael cddstamps.com
